Aaron's art focuses on depictions of people from the Native American and African American communities. When asked why he chose to highlight these subjects, Aaron shared that his school education lacked depth in these communities' histories.
His artwork is a personal exploration, delving into the rich narratives of these communities and uncovering pieces of his own identity. One of Aaron’s standout pieces displayed in his home is a painting of his grandfather, depicting a man hoisting a fish on a dock. This was one of the first works he completed around five years ago, and it holds a special place in his heart. His home is filled with artwork, including pieces from his uncle and mentor, reflecting Aaron's deep appreciation for his roots and the artistic influences in his life.
Currently, Aaron is working on a commissioned Christmas scene of a father lifting his daughter to place a star on the tree. His process begins with a bright neon red base, which he layers upon until only glimpses remain, creating a dynamic and eye-catching composition. This glimpse into his creative process reveals the thoughtful and intricate steps that go into each piece.
